About

I am a food writer, stylist and food photographer. My work involves working alongside my clients as a specialist management consultant within the food industry.  More information about the day job here.

Whilst I am not "working" I write this blog and just to fill in the gaps I contribute to BBC radio Northampton Kitchen Garden show ..  have a dog, two cats, three beautiful children, eight chickens’ and I am lucky to be married to my soul mate.

Almost twenty years ago I trained and worked as a chef.  I adore food, but perhaps more than the food I love the togetherness of eating.   I left catering and had corporate career but kept my food interest at the forefront of everyday life.

I have what my mother affectionately describes as champagne taste and beer money.  Before I had the children and gave up the sucessful highflying, seriously great paying job I had money to indulge pretty much most of my expensive tastes. This is not however a complaint.  No, I wouldn’t change a thing. It is a simple statement of the way it is. Although my tastes haven’t changed my budget has, so I accommodate, which is really much more fun and what this blog is about!
